Flyers flying with the airline will soon access fast internet during flights without charge due to a recent deal involving the billionaire's communications company.
No-cost and High-speed Connectivity Across the Board
British Airways announced that this free, “fast and dependable” wifi offering from Starlink becomes available to customers flying economy, business, and premium cabins starting soon.
Broad Implementation Across Various Flight Operators
The parent firm of British Airways, IAG, announced it had secured an partnership with Starlink to provide internet coverage across more than 500 aircraft operated by its carriers, which also include the Irish airline, Iberia, plus Vueling.
Uninterrupted Connectivity starting at Boarding to Landing
British Airways stated that the rollout of this system formed part of a multi-billion pound “transformation” program and will deliver uninterrupted wifi coverage to flyers starting at boarding to landing, even when traveling across seas or far-off locations.

Existing Connectivity Offerings
Limited wifi access is currently available for BA travelers on most of the airline's planes through their .air system.
Members of the airline's loyalty club can send texts and plain-text messages in the air free of charge, whereas flyers looking to stream music, films, and films throughout the journey and are not travelling in first class may be charged from £4.99 to twenty-one pounds ninety-nine for a wifi plan.
